The Skin-Friendly Diet

When you visit our Tacoma Botox clinic for a Botox treatment, you want the effects to last for as long as possible. A single treatment can keep your face wrinkle-free for months, but in the meantime there are many ways you can work to cultivate a stronger, natural health in your skin. One of the best places to start is your diet.

When planning a skin-friendly diet, there are four major groups to account for: vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B, and Omega-3 fatty acids. These are the most important nutrients to guard your skin against damage and disease while retaining its youthful elasticity for as long as possible.

Vitamin A is found most in green and yellow vegetables, and is particularly strongly in kale, spinach, asparagus, peppers, and carrots.

Vitamin C is commonly sought in oranges and other citrus fruits, but is also richly supplied by bell peppers, kiwi, broccoli, strawberries and Brussels sprouts.

Vitamin B can be found in whole grains; whenever possible, use brown rice and whole grain breads in place of the bleached, refined versions.

For Omega-3, your best bet is fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, halibut, and herring. Choose these foods in favor of saturated fats, and your skin will thank you.

So don’t just give your skin the occasional Botox injection; live every day for the sake of your health, and you’ll have longer, more vital periods of youthfulness after every visit to Botixue.
